Add yet another city to the list of Places to Avoid. Reno is now actively enforcing a city ordinance against "RV parking" on public and private property.

Actually, the city spokesmen will insist the ordinance is against SLEEPING in a recreational vehicle and that it is OK to park an RV on property!

However, this distinction is lost on RVers who understand that the anti-sleeping enforcement is functionally an ANTI-RV PARKING ordinance.

RV travellers cannot park at a Reno casino or an RV Wal-Mart and stay overnight unless one is willing to stay awake and reassure the gendarme who will attempt to roust you from the parking lot that there is no sleeping going on! (Is it possible that one might have to prove this by permitting entry into the RV so that a quick inspection can reveal that no beds or couches are occupied by sleeping persons?)
