I am always a rather skeptic, but PA has been great. We've been a member for about 4-years now. The annual membership (I think $39.95) will pay for itself in about 5-10 nights of fees, in most areas. Most parks in the West, give an honest 50% off. A few, like to fudge a little, by adding-on $$ for 'extras', like for pets, or 50-amp service. Florida parks were the worst, for that. Many of the parks were a little 'off the beaten path', because these are the parks that need the extra advertising that PA gives them. (if your park were full, every night, why would you - as a park owner - need to give 50%-off, to the PA crowd?) Consequently, we have found some 'real gems' that we would never have found otherwise. Most all, have been glad to have us, and have been more than willing to honor the 50% deal. As with any group, there are the good and the bad, but PA has been very good, all around.

If you ever get through Deming, NM, try the park about 10-miles north.. where coyote, quail, and jackrabbits wander thru the park, in the mornings, for your viewing pleasure. The miles of adjacent desert arroyos make for a great place to hike or walk the dogs (just make sure it's not raining, in them thar hills - flash floods possible). Good luck.
