Hi,

Two incidents this past June....

1. Pulled into Walmart in Jupiter, FL at 8:30 a.m. on
a weekday to take a break and do some shopping (parked in the furthest corner from the store to stay out of the way) Went into Walmart and spent $50. While sitting in our RV having some breakfast, a pickup emblazoned City of Jupiter, Ordinance Enforcement pulled up to our door,
with TWO guys in it...guess they thought we looked like a couple of shady characters in our brand new fifth wheel and 2005 Dodge! They were there at 9 a.m. to tell us we could not spend the night (!) Somebody had actually called the city to complain because they saw us in the parking lot!

2. Same day...continued on to the RV park in Deerfield Beach, only
to be kept waiting at the gate for 1-1/2 hours (in a horrendous
downpour I might add), while they scurried about trying to keep us
from checking into the park because my legally blind husband has
a guide dog. Didn't matter a bit to them that it is FEDERAL LAW that
they admit us. They even called their attorney right in front of my
husband while he stood at the counter...and wanted to INSPECT his
guide dog! (All quite illegal I might add).

We did finally gain admittance to the park (begrudgingly) and were
completely ignored for the next 5 weeks we were there. Literally,
no one spoke to us the entire time!

This is even more stupid, because it's off season there, the park was
practically empty...hurricanes bearing down on us while we were there...
we only stayed because I had business with a colleague there, and there
are no other parks in the vicinity.

Unbelievable...couldn't wait to leave!!

Cheers,
Tina
